Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 5 Challenge Lists

Challenges are a bit weird in Season 5, and they are kind of mixed in with some of the outfits that are part of the Battle Pass. The requirements for completing them are fairly simple still, and you will get experience for getting them done. Quests have rarities now, you will receive a Legendary quest each week that will give 55,000 XP for completing the first stage, and then 22,000 XP for the remaining four. This can be done with multiple players, and is similar the group quests from previous seasons. Epic quests appear to be broken down into multiple parts, and you will receive 20,000 XP for completing each of them.

Uncommon quests are basically dailies and are usually pretty easy. You will get 10,000 XP for completing each of these.

About the Author

Hey, my name is Mark, and I'm a video game enthusiast! My earliest memory was playing Worms on the Amiga against my Godmother, yes the Amiga, massive box type thing, needed eighty-five thousand floppy disks to play one game, maybe a slight exaggeration. Ah, those were the days! I love RPG’s, and The Legend of Zelda series. Dogs are pretty awesome.

  1. ok so i have been serching the web like crazy has there been any secret challenges at all for season 5 and how would i find them. I Keep seeing videos of new skins and things that are not even released and they are using in game how is that possible even with some saying there done a quest.

    1. Not to my knowledge. I would presume all those videos are from leakers, who can show off leaked outfits in-game, it’s a thing only those who know how to do it can do it. Epic has even patched it out so it wasn’t possible with the last update but then reverted it. Any other videos are using that footage of the leakers.

I’m sure I have 95% of leaked outfits on the Leaked Skins page if you want to take a look and see what you recognise. I will look into this and see if I’ve missed anything, so bear with me!

  2. Week 11’s legendary challenge can be done with IO Guards, you can easily do it by landing in low contested areas with a IO spawner and lots of floor loot, it works with both Guards and henchman but not with sharks, i did it in Camp COD

  3. HI, i started playing 5 days ago and i am at battle pass rank 50.I completed all the missions and quests in my quests tab.i just wanted to ask is it still possible that i reach level 80 cuz i will get all my v bucks back for next battle pass

    1. At the very least, try to hop on everyday for the three daily challenges. That’s a quick 30,000 XP (10,000 XP each), and they are usually not very difficult to complete.

    2. You can, it’ll just take longer! You just need to play a lot of games. Team Rumble is good XP, find the XP coins each week. Try using this guide: it might help. Though sadly, completing Quests are the most fun. However, come Thursday eight more quests will come available!

  4. I’ve been getting notifications while I play telling me that a friend has been assisting me on this week’s Legendary Challenge. I wasn’t in a party, so it doesn’t seem to be Party Assist. Any idea what’s going on? Can this happen while I’m not logged in?

    1. I have no idea! Also, I have no idea how someone can assist you by eating fish… Has your counter been going up by your friend helping you eat fish? If so, take it, easy Legendary Quest! If not, then it must be just a bug, and carry on eating fish yourself!

  5. Can I see anywhere how many of the different quest types I have completed?

    1. I think you can only check the Epic Quests, you can do this via the Battle Pass tab.

  6. Do we get more epic quests each week or is mine glitching and not giving e more than 49 because I don’t have any epic quests left to do and I would like to get all the quest items unlocked

    1. Yep, every week you should get 8. But you need to complete older ones to get the newer ones. The only ones you miss out on completing, are the Legendary ones, which have to be done in the weekly time period.

  7. So there haven’t been any secret or hidden challenges this season?

    1. There doesn’t seem like it at the moment, but knowing Epic they could throw a curveball.

  8. Week 4

    Eliminations within 5m (0/1)
Eliminations while below 50 health (0/1)
Eliminations at full health and shields (0/1)
Destroy enemy structures with a pickaxe (0/10)
Damage opponents with a pickaxe (0/100)
Collect a tomato basket from a nearby farm (0/1)
Ignite and dance at Tomato Shrine near Pizza Pit or Pizza Food Truck (0/1)
    Legendary: Damage from above (4,000, 8,000, 12,000, 16,000, 20,000)

The Legendary Quest for WEEK 4 is all wrong it should read what I edited it to. I actually saw it myself it start at 4,000 and now I am on 8,000. So what I know it goes in increments of 4,000 every time you complete one.

    1. Cheers!

  9. Does anyone know how to smoothly drive an X-Wing?

    1. I know what you mean. I keep a gamepad now plugged in when playing just for flying. That’s the best way to pilot them. Get a controller. :’D

  10. In the week 3 challenges. It says “look ammo boxes” and not “loot ammo boxes”

    1. Cheers!

  11. Just to give everyone a heads up, I guess you cannot work on the epic/weekly challenges unless they show up on the challenge list. I could not do the clues challenge, flaming rings challenge, of planting evidence challenge until I completed the challenges that were already listed like the dog house, car parts, and mail box challenges. Once I completed one of those, another challenge showed up and I was able to complete the others then. Anyone else notice this?

    1. It’s when u complete certain challenges, then it would pop out.

  12. Is there a place to go where you can see your completed challenges like the seasons prior?!? Some of the challenges listed here do not show up on my challenges page or anywhere?!

  13. its not showing any week 2 missions in mine?

    1. Tomorrow, challenges or quests are the epic legendary ones every week on Thursdays.

  14. Help! None of my recent or favorite islands will load and when I put in any map code it says island not found! Also matchmaking islands just say they are connecting! Idk if this is connected or not but my compete tab won’t load either. I’ve heard a few other people have the same problem with no fix so please bring this to epics attention!

  15. Here we are again for another season!! I’ve said it before, this is the only place I come for hints/tips on the challenges. It seems a little different this season, but it usually is. Thank you for your help/time in putting all these pages together! Take care and stay safe!!

  16. I had a question. For my quests I am finishing quests that I dont see on my list but then I also don’t end up getting the xp for it
Also I don’t get xp for some of my quests that I do see like the bounties one I hit a milestone and I did not get the xp for it and it happens with some other quests too even if I go back to the lobby I still don’t get the xp anyone know ehat the problem is?

    1. Thats happens to me before but when i go back to lobby it give it to me are you sure the xp doesent change when you return to lobby?

    2. hmm weird i had this problem and freaked out when i did the legendary challenge and didnt get the xp but when i returned to the lobby it was completed so a very weird glitch. i guess you will just have to do it again .

  17. hey evident, i know you have like 50 pages to update but could you do a guide on all of the collectable characters and there locations?

    1. I will try!

  18. Am I wrong in thinking that the reward for the Legendary quest was 55k xp for the first stage, then 22k for the next 4? Or was it 55k total?

    1. 55k for first stage
